And the winner is......

Since I had some time to kill while waiting for Pat to arrive at Ft. Lauderdale I went over to the Bass Pro Shop where there was a fishing seminar going on. I put my name in the box and won a $300.00 offshore rod and reel.

Cold Weather Fishing

Dan Zatarga and Bill Knowles teamed up with Big Fish Randall and did some cold weather fishing. These guys from Michigan can take the cold.

Fishing his way to the Keys

Big Fish Bob Randall made a stop in Sebastion, Florida to visit his Aunt Lil and did some surf fishing with his buddies Dan and Bill. Bob cooked up some of his famous fried fish for his friends while he was there. Their next stop will be at Chokoloskee to do some Snook fishing with friend Jim O'Keefe. Then it is on to the Island to fish with the Keysmon, Captain Gus, and Captain Glenn.
Don't forget the Snook tournament starts tomorrow March 1 and ends midnight March 13. The Snook party and awards will be at 4pm, Sunday, March 14.
Remember since the season will be closed until September it will be catch and release. Bring you camera and ruler so you can enter your catch in the tournament.

Craig caught this Tarpon in his canal using 10 lb Fire Line and a Hank Brown Jig tipped with a shrimp.

DEAD BONE


Craig McBay holds a Bonefish he scooped from the end of his canal. Because of the very cold weather that killed so many, Tarpon, Snook and Bonefish the season will be closed until December.

Big Pike

Big Fish Bob Randall caught this nice 16 pound pike while ice fishing.
Bob and Nancy will be making their way to the Keys at the beginning of March. He will catch his share of snook when he gets here.
