Posted by PicasaJohn from Cromwell Court and his brother-law Rick fished with Captain Dave Perkins Friday and caught this snook near Flamingo.  They also caught trout and Sharks.

Posted by PicasaCaptain Glenn Warrington and his daughter Lori were sitting in an undisclosed spot near Tavernier Creek fishing for snook when Lori spotted this monster lobster sitting along side their boat.  Glenn and Lori quickly grabbed some shrimp nets and managed to coax this big boy into one of the nets.
It is rumored that this lobster has been seen in that area before, coming up to boats begging like a dog for food. It was probably some one's pet. It is no more.

A GOOD DAY

My cousins Ray and Judy, and Pat and I took a ride out to the Tin Can Pass yesterday and caught over 50 trout, however only two were keepers.  It was a nice ride we saw a few flocks of spoonbills and we saw two bald eagles on the way back.  Last night we ventured out to the creek and caught about five dozen shrimp. That is not many but they were all big ones, maybe a ten count.

What Is That?

Posted by PicasaIt looks like this halibut just ate another fish.

ALASKA TRIP

Scott and Phyllis took a trip to Alaska this past summer to do some fishing. Phyllis caught the big halibut that weighed in at 135 pounds. The other fish are ling cod.

Shrimp Catch

We got a lot of shrimp last night. Many real big ones for eating and of course many of them went in to my shrimp motel to use for bait.

From The Past

This photo was taken about 5 years ago on Guy and Sue Leekey's dock.
This approximately 30 lbs and 30 inch long Jewfish was caught off the Leekey's dock by Mason Leekey.  Mason was very excited.  Also sorry that it was a catch and release but understands the rules.  He would like to thank the Keysmon as Mason said that the Keysmon was the person that taught him how to bait the rod.  He cut the pinfish's tail to make him bleed and then hooked him.  He hooked the grouper right away.  Sue Leekey
