Lot Of Reds

   These are a couple of pics taken last Wednesday when I fished a 1/2 day charter out of Amelia Island up in North Florida with Capt Nathan Turner.  It was an over-cast/rainy morning, but I still managed to catch 9 reds, 1 black-drum, 1 jack, and a bluefish on the incoming tide.

Morning Jack

Pat and I got out early this morning and fished until a storm sent us home. We managed to catch a few small Snapper and Jacks.

Good Day

Ray and I finally got out to do some fishing this morning and did pretty good.  We caught a mess of Trout and Snapper, one shark and one nice in-the-slot Redfish.  Ray caught the Red with a live shrimp.

King Salmon

Another big Salmon for Captain Dave Perkins.

Captain Dave Perkins is spending a month in the north and doing a lot of fishing.  He caught this Salmon in the Ludington River, Michigan.

Big pike

Captain Tom Sullivan fishing from his kayak in the Passaic River caught this monster pike but was unable to get a good photo of it.  He estimated it to be over 30 inches.

12 Pound King

Captain Bob Randall fished the Big Manistee River today and caught a boat load of these King Salmon.

Pat and I finally got out for awhile today and I caught this Snapper while trolling through the Cowpens.

EIGHT POUND FLUKE

Jennifer from Perkins Restaurant in Colts Neck, New Jersey did some fishing over the weekend aboard her dad's boat, the 'Barbara S" out of Morgan, NJ and caught this eight pound Fluke.

Captain Dave Perkins, his dad Joe, girlfriend Willa and his nieces and nephews had a great two days of catching bugs.

Don and Jean Vetromile of Aberdeen Court had a good day of lobstering on the first day of the mini-season. Everyone did good on the first day, most Hammer Point residents got their limit of bugs.

I haven't had any time to fish lately or post things because I am painting my house, but thanks to Captain Dave Perkins who is tearing up the back country and supplying me with photos.

Father and daughter Damon and Catherine Warmacks's first trip to the Everglades National Park with Captain Dave Perkins was a productive one.  They caught Trout Reds and Sharks.

228 Pound Sword Fish

Dave,
Got the story and the picture of the 228 pound Swordfish from Lee Twyford:

The Sword was caught by my neighbor, The Tuckers, who live 2 houses down from me. Curtis, Alice, their sons CJ and Chad aboard "Always Working". It was caught by CJ. They were at 1200 ft using electric reels. You might recall that the "Always Working" crew won the Hammer Point Dolphin Derby with a Bull weighing 48 lbs.

The congrats go to them and I'm sure they wouldn't mind having their picture posted. I'll have Lynne send Don a picture of them with the sword. That's the one that should be posted.

Captain Dave Perkins fished with new Hammer Point residents, father and son, Pete and Matt Pickron yesterday.  They caught four nice Redfish. Dave had to grab Matt's rod and jump out of the boat with it to get around the marker to land it.
Not many fishing guides would get wet to make sure their anglers get their fish.  Good job guys.

Ray and I went out for a short trip tonight and caught a few grouper, including this 23 inch Black Gerouper

Croc Sighting

A crocodile was seen in the Cromwell -Dexter canal Sunday evening.  It went after some one's dog but missed it.  It appeared to be 8 feet long.

My friends Tom and Mike from New Jersey stopped by today and we got in a little fishing between the rain. Tom caught this 18 inch gag.

Tom Butler and John Razillian fished with Captain Dave Perkins the other day. Tom had some shots at Tarpon on his 12 weight and caught this Red Fish on an 8 weight.
