Very Calm Waters

A great night for bully netting.

LOBSTER

A very calm night so we decided to fish and bullynet.  Pat got a little bloodied when I ran into the mangroves chasing a lobster.

It was dead calm this morning, good weather for sight fishing Redfish so Pat and I took a trip out to the back country.  I caught this one on a jig and white shad.  We saw a few more Reds but they weren't biting.

PROTEST

Over one hundred boats filled with fishermen, guides and recreational boaters lined the south end of the Cowpens this afternoon to protest the Everglades National Park closure.  Many boats left the area and headed into the park to protest.  There will be no fishing in the park until the shutdown is over.

Lot Of Reds

Ian Bessell from Aberdeen Court seems to get in some fishing where ever he goes.

Hi David,
These are a couple of pics taken last Wednesday when I fished a 1/2 day charter out of Amelia Island up in North Florida with Capt Nathan Turner.  It was an over-cast/rainy morning, but I still managed to catch 9 reds, 1 black-drum, 1 jack, and a bluefish on the incoming tide.

Thanks,
Ian

I should be back on the water in another week or so.
